Pump It... LOUDER

We're home and we had a great time! We arrived in PEI Saturday night around 10:30, checked in to our hotel, had a few drinks, and hit the hay. The next morning we were up and out the door by shortly after 9 am. We parked the truck and then walked to Tim's for breakfast. After that we got in line at at the front gates to the concert. Unfortunately, the crowd wasn't into making things fun while waiting. We tried to get people singing, clapping and even tried to start the wave without much success. Luckily, Nicole, Tori, Jeanette, Robin, and I are pretty loud and fun all on our own.
We finally got into the concert grounds after they opened the gates 30-40 mins late. Next, we had to go to security where they separated the men from the women. Weird. They said it was because male security couldn't frisk the female concerte goers. Not even when I offered to have the cute guy frisk me, begged, even offered money would they let me join the men's line. Damners. Our star of security was Jeanette when she hid her digital camera in her cleavage to get it inside. I was so proud of my girl...sniff, sniff. Anyway, we get in and we high tail it to the stage to get ourselves a spot. We secure a prime piece of real estate in front of a tower. We thought it was a good spot because nobody would be behind us pushing later that night. More on that later. I'll sum it up with a roll of my eyes.
After securing a spot, the first order of business was some lunch. Robin and I got a sub and since we were out we decided to get a drink. Off to the beer garden we go. Now, you'd think by the name we should have known, but much to my chagrin, they only served beer. I hate beer, really hate beer. But when you have no other choice it turns out beer with ice in it is drinkable. Other than us, there was one other person in the beer garden. No problem, we are the type of girls to make our own fun so we strike up a conversation with some security guards. One even brings us a bottle of water.
Our prime piece of real estate by the stage was bloody hot and we couldn't drink beer there. Unfortunately, Robin and I spent alot of time away from the girls while we drank beer. Stabilo and Mobile sounded great from the beer garden. We watched to the Philosopher Kings from the beer garden for awhile and then headed back to the girls. I loved the Philosopher Kings. I just downloaded some of their music to my MP3 player.
Robin and I had some good times in the beer garden. I had a race with some people to get a porta-potty (in good fun..some guy said 1,2,3, GO!) It was a good laugh. We watched another guy repeatedly open the door while his buddy used the facilities, I got high just from the smell in one porta-potty, and I wondered why so many girls were coming out of porta-potties in pairs. Seriously, what the hell are they doing in there???
Things got crazy when the Pussycat Dolls took the stage. People were pushing and shoving, we couldn't see the stage at all, and it was just not fun. We found the one bitchiest girl at the concert at that point. Not fun at all. So we got out of the crowd and moved further from the stage. We still couldn't see great but we could see the screen for the Peas.
The Black Eyed Peas....what can I say? They ROCKED!!! Their show was awesome. I danced like a lunatic the whole time and didn't care one bit. There really isn't any more I can say about them. The rocked the house and they rocked it hard.
Now, I've been saving this for last. I have to give a huge shout out to TORI. She is a class act. I really forgot most of the time that she is only 11 years old. I complained more than she did. It was a very long day, it was hot, and we couldn't see very well for the headliners. But she didn't complained once. She may have said something to her mom but I didn't hear a single complaint out of her. She was a total trooper and she was game for anything that came her way. She danced to the Peas and she put up with her mother and I singing loudly and dancing while leaving the park. Not only did she put up with us but she held our hands and joked with us. Tori is a cool girl and a was pleasure to have around this weekend. My only warning is not to let her eat apple late at night...wink, wink.

I'm so sorry I missed it. I'm so glad you guys had a great time. The pushing and shoving would have driven me up the wall and that bitchy gal would have been sorry. I'm surprised J didn't give it to her!

I have to so agree about Ms. 11 year-old! I'm certain we all did more complaining than she did - quite a trooper that one is! I'd take her again in a heartbeat!
