Over the past few days, I've seen alot of Facebook statuses, heard alot of conversations, read many emails all with the same question - Does anyone have any good Christmas recipes? So, let's post them here.
Now, I know alot of people read this blog but don't leave comments. There is an option to leave your comment anonymously, so come half out of the closet and leave your recipe if not your name. Participaction makes the job happen....or something like that.

here's mine.....two jiggers of rum over ice, topped off with egg nog and a sprinkle of nutmeg.
Awareness....you can also use Southern Comfort instead of Rum..a very good start to the recipe challenge...here is mine.
Bacon Wrapped Chestnuts
Buy canned water chestnuts
semi-cook bacon in microwave
cut bacon in half
wrap bacon around chestnut, poke with toothpick
Place on broiler pan
Broil in the oven for approximately 20 minutes or until bacon is crispy
Serve
Amy has a recipe for a sauce to soak the chestnuts in, I haven't tried it yet but that is my next experiement.....
Here is a sauce for the bacon wrapped chestnuts
1/2 cup white sugar
1/2 cup brown sugar
3/4 cup ketchup
2 tbsp vinegar
cook your wrapped water chestnuts for about 20 minutes in the oven. Pour off grease. Add sauce and cook for another 15-20 minutes.
With this recipe there is no need to pre-cook the bacon seperately. Enjoy!
All good ideas. I must say, I'm rather indifferent as to what I mix with my rum. :)
